WOW Scam Sham Part 2 - Not This Time!

 Wow, I didn't think I would get scammed again.... But then again when it happened, it was around this time.

"Stats":
  • Asian
  • Born in China
  • Raised by Grandmother is San Francisco
  • Moved to Toronto earlier this year
  • Works out at the gym 6 times a week
  • Power Tech - Works for a wind turbine company?!
The reason why I think this guy is a scammer is because of the following.
He gave me his full name and his date of birth wayyyy to easily. Name Mark Teng, date of birth July 4, 1981. If this guy turns out to be a legit guy, I will obviously take this down. The way he told me his birthday was 04/07/1981, at first looking at this, I would have thought it was April 7, because that is how we write dates in North America, we write, month day year.. Everywhere else around the world writes day month year. The only reason why I realized it was July was because he told me he was a Cancer sign. I gave him my birthday, but without the year, but online it has my age, so it's easy to calculate the birth year.
Another red flag was that he said the word cinema. If you were raised in North America (he has been in San Fran since 3), you say movies, theater, or movie theater.. no one here says cinema. Also, the fact that you have NO family.. not even an aunt, uncle, or cousins? He was supposedly raised by his grandmother and he has no other living relatives. What is the likely hood of a Chinese immigrant woman moving to US and leaving your adult kids back in China? My grandparents immigrated to Canada, but only after my aunt came first! Also, if your grandmother is the only family here, why would you move to Canada? Why wouldn't you stay close to your grandmother who raised you? *red flag* Not just as a scammer, but what kind of person are you to leave your grandmother in another country? I understand you need to live your life, but she is the only family you have. He said family was important to him and yet he left his in another country.
He also asked me questions like what is my zodiac sign, what is my favourite colour, what are my hobbies (which I guess is a generic question and luckily I don't have any). He was soo open and encouraged me to ask him any questions, as if he had many questions to ask me.
He is also working on a proposal, I asked him if it was for work and he said no. So I don't know what the proposal is about. This is very similar to my first scammer. The first scammer was an engineer type working on a proposal, who happened to get the job and was moving and bought me a gift. A gift where I had to pay the taxes on $1200.. Like are you fucking kidding me?

Since I am having a scam feeling I asked this guy if he wanted to meet up this weekend. His excuse was Covid.. The dude apparently goes to the gym 6 times a week AND his favourite restaurants are Jacobs and Richmond. So, if you came to Toronto earlier this year, that means you came during the pandemic. To break this down, you are on a dating app, but don't want to meet up because of Covid, but you're ok with going to the gym 6 times a week, and we know you have been to at least two restaurants AND he apparently has a chef that comes to his house. So, by all these accounts, he doesn't really fucking care about Covid. I have asked if he wanted to FaceTime. This was last night and still no response, he read my message, but have not responded. Yesterday he was messaging and asking a million questions and now that I asked to meet and he said no, he probably knows I am onto him. I normally block numbers and pictures of these guys, but I think these guys need to be exposed! If this guy is not scamming me I will take all this down! Until then, ladies watch out for this guy! My friend did a reverse Google search and nothing else came up.
