I Met My Ken!

My friend, after dating a jackass in secrecy is now dating someone good and is showing him off. I was so excited for her, I wanted to meet this new man in her life who is treating her well (hereafter known as "the boyfriend"). She then asked me if I would be interested in getting hooked up with his friend. She suggested we all go our for drinks, I of course agreed, why not? At this point, there is no harm meeting people.

We decided to hit up a patio at Yonge and Sheppard called Nome. I got a message from my friend saying that the guy was most likely not going to come, but I was ok with that because I was excited to see my friend and her new man.

I arrived and with some drinks we were having a good times, seemed like my friend and her boyfriend were really into each other. They were telling me about their dates during these Covid-19 times and it turns out he knew a lot of my friends. Then his friend came. His friend was not bad looking, he is a mechanic (hereafter known as "the mechanic"). The guys had left for a smoke break, so my friend and I were talking about going to church during these times. Then the mechanic started talking about dooms day and said that he thinks the world was going to end in 2020. I asked him what he was doing to ensure his salvation and he said he gave out dooms day pamphlets and that if he could, he would be one of those people on the streets of Toronto yelling the end is near. The boyfriend joked saying that the mechanic has been saying this for 5 years, but in all seriousness the mechanic said he has been saying this since 2017. So, every year since 2017, he has been saying that the world was going to end. I asked him when he will stop saying that the world was going to end, he said when it doesn't.. O-M-G! My friend and the boyfriend couldn't believe I was listening to the mechanic's crap! I thought, "hey why not.. He is entitled to his own belief's!"

My friend and I love to travel, my friend is a flight attendant, so if there is no travel, then there is no job. We were discussing how if there was a vaccine, we were get it immediately. I definitely would get the vaccine. The mechanic said what if the vaccine came in a form of a chip where it had all your information? I said I would get the vaccine and then I would rip it out once I am done traveling. I said if the Covid-19 vaccine came in a chip form, I would not get it. Then he said he was relieved to know that I wouldn't get it. He is convinced that the Covid-19 vaccine will come in a form of a chip, the mark of the devil. He lives in a very Revelations kind of world. 

The topic of mask wearing came up a couple of times, the first time he said that me, my friend and the boyfriend were just blindly following orders without knowing the consequences. Before I enjoyed watching Karen and Ken videos of people yelling and saying ridiculous things about why they shouldn't wear a mask. Now, I get annoyed by them. The mechanic said that the mask doesn't help, I said the mask helps in a sense that it will slow down the spread.

We then moved to a different table because there was another reservation. I told him how I saw a meme (left side) where a face mask is like wearing pants, when a guy pees without pants he will get everywhere, but when he wears pants then it won't go everywhere, most will be contained. He then told me how he saw a meme that said wearing a mask is like when a guy farts you still smell it. But then I pointed out, yes you still smell the fart, but the poo particles remain in his underwear! 

In between the Covid talks, we talked about other things, like dogs and adopting a dog, travels, etc.

We were getting kicked out of the restaurant, but he said something to end all conversations. He said, that the Coronavirus was in us all along and that the 5G towers are the ones that activated. All I can say to that comment was, "oh you one of dems.." He was one of those people that believe that the Covid-19 was triggered by the 5G towers and that the Pharmaceutical companies have the cure and that it is a way for the government to weed out the old and the sick. I pointed out some young people have died too. Luckily this was the end of our night because I didn't know how much longer I would be able to handle a guy who sees the world ending in 2020 and that the Covid-19 was started by 5G and big Pharma.

On Sunday, John Oliver did a segment on conspiracy theories on Covid 19. He set up a website www.thetruetruetruth.com where celebrities urge you to use your head, do your own research and use credible source!
