Slowly But Surely...
Wow! I can't believe my last post was in 2015, which means that the traumatizing experience happened 2 years ago. It honestly seems a lot longer. Which is probably why I am still not 100% over it. So, let me brief you quickly on what's been happening in my life. I got a new job, now I work for a law firm and I support a great boss. Honestly I feel like we are living in parallel universe and my boss is me. My boss is pretty much who I wanted to be when I was a child. Plus her real name is the alias name I give to guys that I don't want to talk to. I got laser eye surgery almost a month ago, it's been a long healing process. I am moving out finally out on my own after I got into my final fight with my mom. I paid off my mountain of a debt. So, now I should focus on my love life right?
In my Behavioural Psychology class, I learned that people find love through, geography (neighbourhood, work, coffee shop, etc), common interest, common views, social status, etc. So, working in a law firm, I was excited to meet single guys. Only to find out most of them are married, engaged, or have a girlfriend. Recently I found out that lawyers these days not only have a BA, they have a Masters AND a PhD! So, by the time they become a first year associate they are approx 28-30 years old. Their significant other LOCKED THAT DOWN!
My aunt is probably one of the hardest working people when it comes to finding a person for me. I recently went on a date with a guy who was my aunt's friend's friend's son. The first time I saw him, I was in an Uber and I saw an Asian guy just checking out his car. I thought, "ugh! What a Douche! Relax buddy it's just a BMX" Well.. It's just a BMX turned out to be a M3, so I guess he had merit. The first date went ok, we went to Bier Mrket. The conservation was very rudimentary, but it was fine. He drove me home which was nice. He opened the car door for me, which I thought was nice.
The Second date! OMG It turns out he is quite boring. All he does is work and go home. So, he doesn't have current interesting stories and nothing to really look forward to. For someone who doesn't know anyone here, I thought he would want to join clubs or something to meet people.I'm pretty sure this is not going to work out. Well, it's already been 4 days and he hasn't messaged so I am not too worried. Right now I am hoping to find a place. I think my life right now is going in the right direction... but THE SEARCH IS STILL ON!!!
I hope to keep writing!
