Don’t Talk Shop If You’re Going To Talk Shit!

I went out with my friend Kelly, who is a school teacher for drinks on a Friday night around Liberty Village.

We were having our girls night, we weren’t there to pick up guys or anything. It was just a new place to check out.

Closer to 11:30pm these two guys walk up to us. One was a shorter Indian looking guy and the other was a fairly tall white guy. We started talking and the Indian guy kept talking to Kelly. Kelly introduced herself first and the white guy asked me, “what is her name? Pelly? How do you spell that?” and I said, “No! Kelly! K-E-L-L-Y”.  He introduced himself as Chris, and we will call his little Indian friend Josh. Things were going ok until we started talking about what we did. I told him I was an Executive Assistant at a financial institution. He said we both looked like the type of person who  works for a bank. I corrected him and told him Kelly was a teacher. He went onto telling me how his ex-gf is an executive assistant and worked for companies such as McCain, Kraft, etc. Then he went onto he went on a tangent on how CEO’s make a lot of money. I said well they weren’t born CEO’s most of them worked their asses of, especially in the bank.

He went on how he got his MBA and CEO’s don’t do all the work, the little guys do. Then I told him if a company fucks up it’s on the CEO, not on the little guy. But he kept going on about how CEO’s make too much money. At this point I’ve had it. I am an Executive Assistant to a CEO and I know how hard he works. I asked him where he got his MBA. He told me he got his MBA online, at that point I was so annoyed with him I just started attacking him. I told him that he would never be a CEO of a major bank, no C-level personnel has their post graduate degree from an online University. I also told him he did his MBA wrong, MBA is for networking opportunities, not to learn. He told me his online classroom taught him a lot. The reason why he did online is because he didn’t want to write his GRE and pay $80K in tuition. I’m sorry, was he looking for some sympathy? I was so agitated. He asked me if I wanted him to leave. I said “Yes!”. My friend interrupted and asked him what he did. This guy was in Investment Banking at RBC, at this point I didn’t care what he did I just wanted him OUT! But unfortunately I can see Josh was into my friend. So, I excused myself to go to the bathroom, I texted my friend Kelly to get those guys out.

Kicker – our guy friends including Kelly’s bf was at the same bar, they were out on the patio watching this. Kelly had already called her bf to come and help us. Instead he went up to the door, looked at her and gestured what do you want?

When I got back from the washroom the Josh apologized on behalf of the guy saying he’s a little socially awkward. Kelly told them we had to leave, so Josh ask her for her number. I ripped out a piece of paper from my agenda (Louis Vuttion) so they can write down their numbers. But instead Chris decided to draw a penis on it. They exchanged their numbers via cellphone (totally forgot you can do that). To get back at Kelly’s bf, Kelly gave Josh her bf’s number! As soon as we stepped outside to join our friends Josh texted Kelly.

That was probably one of the worst pick up nights EVER!

Note to guys – don’t disrespect others when you don’t know the person you’re speaking to.
