Can I Get My 3 Hours 45 Mins Back Please?
Time is a hot commodity. It is something we never have enough of and when wasted, we can never get it back.
There was a guy that I've been talking to on Plenty of Fish. We exchanged numbers and started to chat through text messaging. He was a little aggressive, but I thought that was better than being passive.
He asked me to meet him yesterday, it was a slow day at work so I said yes. But then I realized that I can leave work at 2pm, so I canceled and asked if we can reschedule it for next week. He then asked if we can meet on Saturday, but I told him I had plans; so he insisted we meet yesterday. In the meantime he told me he was having a slow day at work as well.
We were originally going to meet at 5:30pm, but I had convinced him to meet earlier, so we agreed to meet at 5:15pm. At 5:06pm I messaged him I was on my way. At 5:08pm he messaged me he was going to be 10 mins late, then he told me he was going to be 20 mins late.
At this point I had missed my 5:13pm train to go home. At 5:17pm I told him I would wait around, then at 5:34pm I messaged him and he said he had a lot of work. So, then I asked him if he wanted to cancel, because he had also told me he had dinner plans with friends. He responded he didn't want to cancel. So, I had missed my 5:43pm train.
At 5:50 he said he was 20 seconds away. At 5:52pm he asks me where I was and said he went up to the wrong person. At 5:53pm he tells me he needs to get back to work! at this point I'm thinking "ARE YOU FUCK'N KIDDING ME???" I could've left at 2:00pm!!! Instead I had to catch the 6:13pm train!
He messaged to apologize. I told him he should have just canceled and his response was, "At least I came down to say 'hi'".. No you fuck'n MORON You just wasted my time! Not only did I have to wait until 5pm I waited almost 45 mins for him to tell me he couldn't meet me. Thinking about this still vexes me!
